KING FM Young Artist Awards 

 
Get ready for Classical KING FM's fourth-annual Young Artist Awards Competition! All young musicians in Washington State from ages 6 to 20 are encouraged to send in a five-minute video entry for consideration. Ten finalists will get a chance to play LIVE on the radio, and two lucky winners will play an entire set of music on NW Focus LIVE and will have opportunities to perform all over the Seattle area. The Young Artist Awards competition is presented by Classical KING FM 98.1 in partnership with the Seattle Chamber Music Society.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

February 2, 2015: Competition submission period begins
April 6, 2015 6am: All contest submissions due
April 6, 2015 - April 20: Judges deliberate and choose finalists
April 21, 2015: Top 10 finalists posted on www.king.org for public voting
May 22, 2015, 11:59pm: Listener voting period ends
May 15 and 22, 2015, 8pm: NW Focus LIVE concerts featuring 10 finalists
May 26, 2015: Winners announced
June 5, 2015, 8pm: Winners perform on NW Focus LIVE

PRIZES

1. The top ten finalists perform in a live broadcast on either May 15 or May 22, 2015.
2. The Grand Prize Winners will perform in a live broadcast on June 5 and at select outdoor concerts in Summer 2015. They may also be invited to perform in community concerts through April 2016.
