April is Public Radio Music Month - a month-long NPR initiative celebrated by public radio stations around the country.
Public Radio Music Month highlights the role of public radio in today’s music world. Music is a central, but often overlooked aspect of public radio service nationally. This month, we hope to provide a deeper understanding and appreciation for public radio music and culture and the importance of supporting public radio across the nation.
As part of our celebration here in the Pacific Northwest, we dedicate the live broadcast of pianist Craig Sheppard on NW Focus LIVE, Friday, April 12 at 8pm. Tune in to hear Sheppard perform in the KING FM studios and talk about his love for public radio with KING FM host Sean MacLean. The live broadcast will also be available for viewing after April 15 on KING FM's YouTube page.
