Magical Strings Yuletide FamilyFriday, February 12, 8pm:
ANGIE ZHANG 

Tune in for Oregon native, pianist Angie Zhang. Zhang, 19, is a proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowship at Juilliard where she is pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree. She has performed as a soloist with orchestras nearly every year since she made her concerto debut in 2006 at the age of ten. She will be the featured soloist in an upcoming concert of the Olympia Symphony on February 14. Angie will perform Scarlatti’s Sonata in B minor, K. 87, Granados’ Los Requiebros from Goyescas Suite, Op.11 and two works by Liszt: Vallée d'Obermann and the Spanish Rhapsody.

SEATTLE METROPOLITAN CHAMBER ORCHESTRA 

Tune in for a live performance by the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra led by Music Director, Geoffrey Larson. The program will feature Anton Arensky's Variations on a Theme of Tchaikovsky, Grieg's rapturous Two Elegiac Pieces and Mozart's String Quartet No.19 in C "Dissonance" played by the SMCO String Quartet.
