Seattle Jewish Film Festival

KING FM is proud to support the 15th annual Seattle Jewish Film Festival (SJFF) presented by American Jewish Committee, March 11 – 21st. Join us for a special screening of AMNON’s JOURNEY on Monday, March 15th at 6:30 PM at SIFF CINEMA. This moving, lyrical documentary recounts the fascinating and inspiring story of master violin maker Amnon Weinstein.

Amnon's quest is to recover violins left behind during the Holocaust. In his Tel-Aviv workshop, he lovingly restores these instruments, each one telling a unique story and bringing forth the voices of a lost generation. The film features musical performances by international virtuosos Maestro Shlomo Mintz, Yair Dalal and Cihat Askin, and culminates with the gala concert, "Violins of Hope" on the occasion of Israel's 60th anniversary. The concert featured the Philharmonic Orchestra of Istanbuland the Symphonette Orchestra of Ra'anana playing sixteen of Amnon's restored violins.
