Chamber music is so intimate. It's like you are listening in to a musical conversation between people who care deeply about each other. It is also so diverse. Two instruments, three, four or more - the combinations of instruments and how they play off against each other is infinite. It is some of the most complex yet accessible music ever written.I have been a host for most of the Festival broadcasts since the beginning. This is like coming home to old friends and making new ones. I'm also excited about their new musical home at Benaroya Hall. The acoustics are excellent. This is going to be a great season.
Peter has been with the station for over 30 years, beginning as an announcer and then Operations Manager, Station Manager and Program Director. These days he divides his time between Seattle and the Oregon Coast, travels and maintains an extensive collection of kitsch - including a world-famous Hello Kitty collection.
Peter's history with the Festival goes back to the first broadcasts in 1982 and he is thrilled to be part of their new season in Benaroya Hall.
