How can they know if they’re right for each other when old boyfriends, ex-fiancées, assorted friends, relatives, and even the waiter keep offering unsolicited advice? Seattle Arts & Lectures’ Literary/Arts Series presents Colum McCann, Irish-born author of two short story collections and five novels. His work covers international territory: the troubles in Northern Ireland (Everything in This Country Must), the Roma culture in Europe (Zoli), the ambitions of an artist in Soviet Russia (Dancer), and the hard-working people of 1970s New York (Let the Great World Spin). His fiction has been published in over 30 languages across four continents.
McCann speaks at Benaroya Hall on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:30pm.
