On our current KING-FM Seattle Opera Channel program:

A complete performance of "La Bohème," Giacomo Puccini's masterful tale of struggling young artists (and a seamstress) in the Latin Quarter of nineteenth-century Paris. Our lead recording, which dates from 1959, features soprano Renata Tebaldi as Mimì and tenor Carlo Bergonzi as Rodolfo, with Tullio Serafin as the conductor.

Excerpts from other notable "Bohème" recordings. Our principals include Jussi Björling and Victoria de los Angeles (under Sir Thomas Beecham, 1956), Luciano Pavarotti and Nicolai Ghiaurov (under Herbert von Karajan, 1972), and Bidú Sayāo and Richard Tucker (under Giuseppe Antonicelli, 1947).
