Violinist Augustin Hadelich recently released a recording of Brahms and Ligeti violin concertos. The Brahms premiered in 1879, while the Ligeti premiered in its final version in 1992. In this interview, Hadelich talks about what (on Earth) these two composers and pieces have in common, and describes how the two pieces inform one another when heard on the same recording.
