Rainier Symphony is in its 37th season of providing professional-quality classical music in a family-friendly environment close to home. The February concert features music which is not played very often, but are wonderful pieces of music: an overture by Ludwig van Beethoven, Consecration of the House; a violin concerto by Julius Conus, Violin Concerto in E Minor; and a symphony by an American female composer Amy Beach, Symphony in E Minor, also known as the Gaelic Symphony.
The violin soloist for the concerto will be our Concertmaster Ilkka Talvi, who is the former Concertmaster of Seattle Symphony. The concert will be presented Saturday night 2/24/18 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday afternoon 2/25/18 at 3:00 pm.
Both concerts will be at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center, which is adjacent to Renton High School. Tickets are just $17 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, children 12 and under are free, and we offer a discount for groups of 10 or more.
Tickets can be purchased through the Symphony website (rainiersymphony.org), or at the door. For more information see our website, call 206.781.5618, or email email@example.com
