We carefully curate the balance of different elements in our programming in response to what the listener base enjoys. Given that we serve between 200,000 and 300,000 people each week, the taste palette that KING FM’s programming must cover is quite broad. We understand that no individual will enjoy every single piece we play. However, we strive to program the station in such a way that the vast majority of the listeners enjoy what they hear at any given time. Even with this broad approach, please do not hesitate to contact us to share your thoughts about KING FM programming; we use messages from listeners to shape our programming. If we receive the same or similar messages from many listeners, our programming is more likely to change in order to accommodate the specific desires of those listeners.
Often, when KING FM receives a question of this nature, it involves a specific niche type of classical music that is of interest to a very small percentage of our listeners. For some areas, we have special shows or other products that address these types of content. For example, The Organ Loft, The Score (film music), and Sunday Baroque are all centered around specific types of classical music that are often of interest to committed groups of listeners within the larger KING FM audience. Even so, please do not hesitate to contact us to encourage more of any specific thing in our programming; we use messages from listeners to shape our programming. If we receive the same or similar messages from many listeners, our programming is more likely to change in order to accommodate the specific desires of those listeners.
Please send all messages for announcers to feedback@king.org. While you may receive a response from the announcer you are trying to reach, because of volume, KING FM announcers cannot possibly answer every message they receive.
