May 4, 8pm: Dmitri Sinkovsky

Few musicians display the kind of versatility that this week’s Seattle Symphony guest soloist and conductor, Dmitri Sinkovsky brings to the stage. In program of works by Handel, Vivaldi, Albinoni and Locatelli, Dmitri Sinkovsky will sing countertenor arias, play virtuoso violin concerti of the Italian baroque era, and lead musicians in the Seattle Symphony. Dave Beck talks with Dmitri Sinkovsky about the artist’s path from studies at the Moscow Conservatory to his work with pioneering teachers and performers in European early music circles.
