Be Our Guest
So you want to be a guest on Classical KING’s programs? Great! Here’s what you need to know.
Northwest Focus LIVE
Northwest Focus LIVE is – as the name suggests – a live show. This means that a lot of planning and logistics go into making each episode happen. Because of that, we schedule episodes about 6 months in advance of the broadcast date. To be considered for a NWFL performance, please contact us 9 months prior to the broadcast date you have in mind.
Other important information to know about being a guest on NWFL:
- On the broadcast date, you must be available from 7pm-9pm, unless your episode will be videotaped.
- Only a handful of episodes are videotaped (you’ll be notified via email if your episode is selected for videotaping). If your show is one of them, you may need to be at the studio until midnight or later on your broadcast date.
- You will need to prepare 40 minutes of music for your episode.
To be considered for this program, please contact David Dodman, Assistant Program Director, at dodman@king.org.
Broadcast Concerts
Our Broadcast Concert schedule is created each spring. If you want to make KING aware of your season, contact us with that timeline in mind. Generally speaking, only organizations whose calendars are posted before June are considered for the following year’s Broadcast Concert schedule.
To be considered for this program, please contact David Dodman, Assistant Program Director, at dodman@king.org.
Northwest Focus Concert Calendar
If you’d like your concert or musical event to be considered for a feature in Northwest Focus Concert Calendar, please contact David Dodman, Assistant Program Director, at dodman@king.org. If your event is in the Seattle metro area, we strongly encourage you to also submit your event information to the calendar of the Live Music Project; when emailing David, provide a link to your LMP calendar entry, if available. If your event is outside Western Washington, please send a press release or similar summary of your event directly to David.
Please note that, due to the high volume of musical events in our region, KING FM is not able to feature all events submitted for consideration. Thanks for your understanding!
